Dear Friends,
I don’t know how you felt about our gathering the other week at Heidi and Kevin’s, but personally I was tremendously encouraged and thankful to see so many of you take the time to respond by making the effort to show up. It was a particular joy to welcome Dr Rhode and hear what she had to say to us all about the daily successes and challenges of the clinic.
It humbles me to see how much can be achieved by a relatively small band of supporters. The Lord surely blesses the work of our hearts and hands.
The Directors are going to move forward with developing more transparent and accountable systems so that every cent of donations can be effectively used for the purposes intended, namely the clinic and the good of the people of Haiti.
The clinic is still in its infancy and has a great need for equipment, medical supplies, and well educated and experienced personnel. It is a work in progress. But be assured the Directors are making every effort to connect with the State and other NGOs so that we can build up the resources of the clinic and serve an ever broader section of the local community.
I realize you all have tremendous personal experiences and expertise that can help with the on-going development of JFPCH and it is my hope that you might wish to share, not only your treasure, but your time and talents in the months and years ahead.
May the Lord continue to bless you and those you love, and those you find it hard to love,
